Graphene is the thinnest, strongest, and most conductive naturally occurring material in the world, even winning a Nobel Prize in physics. It’s water-resistant to 10,000mm, breathable, bacteriostatic, and offers excellent thermoregulatory capabilities, meaning it excels in cold and wet environments.

The 003 G+ is a weatherproof version of the 003, retaining all the standard 003 features — bio-circular Dyneema upper, Vibram midsole and soleplate — while adding an ultra-thin G+ graphene membrane for increased thermoregulation and water resistance.

While the 003 G+ can be used as a running shoe, it’s a trail approach shoe — designed to transition seamlessly between hiking, scrambling and running. Think of it as an all-purpose outdoors shoe.

The 003 G+’s upper is a unique laceless construction with an elasticized Bio-Dyneema upper. Though it may feel snug to the top of the foot at first, it molds to your feet quickly, providing an adaptable, personalized fit.

The 003 G+ and other norda models with a graphene membrane (001 G+ Spike and 001A G+) offer water resistance rated to 10,000 mm. 

Non-G+ models are naturally water-resistant as well, as Dyneema is hydrophobic and does not absorb water. However, their woven construction intentionally allows for airflow and drainage.

Yes. The traction, durability and cushioning of norda shoes makes them an excellent option for winter running. For extreme conditions, the 001 G+ Spike is ideal. It’s a winterized version of our foundational 001 model  equipped with durable carbide steel spikes that provide traction on snow and even ice.

The bio-based Dyneema® upper is engineered for extreme abrasion resistance.

By weight, Dyneema® is up to 15x stronger than steel and significantly more durable than traditional mesh or knit uppers. Durability is one of the defining features of the 003 G+.

The 003 G+ features a custom Vibram® outsole developed exclusively with norda.

Vibram®, founded in 1937 in Italy, is widely regarded as the leader in high-performance rubber compounds. Our proprietary Vibram® formulation balances grip, durability, and traction across wet rock, loose terrain, and groomed trails — ensuring consistent performance in varied trail conditions.

It depends on how hard you are on your shoes and the conditions you play in. norda footwear is put through rigorous lab testing and trail running before final production, and built with the finest materials available to ensure its longevity and durability.

Yes. All norda insoles are removable. Simply replace the stock insole with your custom orthotic.
